Adult and child killed in Salem crash.

An adult and a child were killed in a crash Tuesday evening on Turner Road in Salem, just south of Airway Drive Southeast, police said.

Salem Police identified the two people killed in a car crash Tuesday evening as a McMinnville mother and her 9-year-old daughter. Kelly Moore, 26, and one of her twin daughters, Jasmine, were declared dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred near the intersection of Turner Road Southeast and Airway Drive Southeast. They were among four passengers in a 1994 Ford Escort driven by Hannah Reitz, 28, of McMinnville. Investigators said the Escort was headed north on Turner Road when it crossed into the path of a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup, driven by Jason McMurphy, 32, of Turner and collided head-on. Reitz, her 8-year-old daughter, Marena, and Jayden Moore, 9, were taken to the hospital with possibly life-threatening injuries. McMurphy was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are still investigating the crash, but do not believe speed or intoxicants were involved.
