Salem Police Responded to Serious Hit & Run Accident
Just after 10:00PM Thursday, the Salem Police Department responded to a serious hit and run accident at Portland Rd NE and Hyacinth St. According to witnesses, a black 2007 Chrysler 300 was southbound on Portland Rd. when a silver 2000 BMW northbound on Portland Rd. turned left into the path of the Chrysler, causing a t-bone accident. The driver of the Chrysler, 31 yr old Valeria Garcia of Woodburn, was transported by medics to Salem Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the BMW fled the scene on foot leaving behind a passenger, 22 yr old Taylor Goulet of Salem. Goulet was transported by medics to Salem Hospital with life threatening injuries.
