A tractor-trailer driver has been charged with reckless driving and speeding for a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 83 in Cumberland County that sent three people to the hospital, state police said Sunday.
A tractor-trailer driver has been charged with reckless driving and speeding for a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 83 in Cumberland County that sent three people to the hospital, state police said Sunday. According to police, trucker Robert E. Singleton, 63, of New Park, York County, was northbound on I-83 near the New Cumberland exit in Lower Allen Township around 8:30 a.m. Thursday when he became distracted and hit a pickup truck, a car and a sport-utility vehicle. Singleton wasn't injured. Two of the other drivers, Mark A. Jones, 35, of York, and Stephanie Sisti, 30, of Lewisberry, suffered minor injuries, police said, while the other motorist, Thomas E. Miller, 48, of Dover, sustained a moderate injury. The crash closed the northbound lanes of the highway for about two hours.
