2 killed in motorcycle crash near Gap

Police said the driver of a Harley Davidson was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control in a curve in the 400 block of School Lane around 8:18 p.m. The motorcycle left the roadway and crashed into a fence. The driver and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

State police identified the victims Wednesday night as Sharon Highfield, 45, of Ephrata, and Thomas Webster, 39, of Loris, South Carolina.
