Three hurt in violent two-car crash in North Lebanon Township(link is external)

North Lebanon Township police identified the drivers as Andrew Asper, 43, and Charles Palmer, both of Myerstown. Police said a female passenger in Palmer's car was ejected. Police said Asper caused the crash.

Three people were injured in a violent two-car accident on Route 422 in North Lebanon Township Thursday evening at the start of the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Rescue crews were sent at 6:30 p.m. to Prescott Drive and East Cumberland Street, also known as Route 422.

The crash closed Route 422 between Prescott Drive and Narrows Drive for several hours. The Lebanon County accident reconstruction team was summoned to the scene to assist in the investigation of the crash.

One of the vehicles struck a utility pole along the north side of the roadway in front of the Green Acres mobile home park. Debris from the vehicles as scattered along the road.

North Lebanon Township police identified the drivers as Andrew Asper, 43, and Charles Palmer, both of Myerstown. Police said a female passenger in Palmer's car was ejected. Police said Asper caused the crash.

Police initially said two of the crash victims were taken to Hershey Medical Center and one was taken to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, but later said all three went to HMC. Information about their conditions was not available Thursday night.
