Chopper 3 was over the scene of a hit-and-run investigation at a gas station in Upper Chichester, Delaware County Monday morning.
GOOD SAMARITAN STRUCK BY ROBBERY SUSPECT'S CAR IN UPPER CHICHESTER
Robert Convery watched the incident unfold from across the street. He explains, "When the gentleman jumped out, the car backed up, he went underneath the car. And then the car proceeded to go forward and ran him over."
At around 9:30 a.m. a man displayed a dagger to the owner of the Shell Gas Station along the 3300 block of Market Street in Upper Chichester and told him to hand over money from the cash register. The owner did and the man ran out of the store. Mark Moyer was at the Shell Station at the time and witnessed the suspect rob the store. Moyer ran after the suspect and confronted him. During the altercation that ensued, Moyer was knocked over, and the suspect ran over him with a vehicle. Moyer was hospitalized but is expected to be ok.
