Pedestrian dies afer being struck in Bucks County

A car struck and killed a pedestrian in Bristol Township, Pennsylvania Thursday night.It happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. while the person was walking along the 500 block of Bath Road.The driver remained at the scene.It is unclear exactly how the accident happened.Police have not released the victim's name.

William MacPherson, 51, of Radcliffe Street, was walking in the roadway in the 500 block of Bath Road in front of Lower Bucks Hospital at 9:07 p.m., when he was hit by a red 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Johnson said.
