Friday, October 31, 2014Alleged Halloween bank robber captured in underwear after crashing Mercedes
One thing police don't yet know is why Houir ditched his jacket, blue jeans and belt following the crash.
Houir, of Douglassville, allegedly walked into Affinity Federal Credit Union shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Halloween and said he had a bomb, demanding cash from the tellers. His escape route was monitored by a tracking device hidden in the cash before his Mercedes crashed at Carousel Village at Indian Walk on Route 413. He was caught about one-quarter mile away after knocking on someone's door and asking for help calling a cab wearing a tank top, underwear, and shoes. Houir's discarded clothes were later discovered in a wooded area. No one was seriously injured in the incident.
