Multi-vehicle crash sends at least 2 to hospitals

At least two people are hospitalized Friday night following an accident involving several vehicles on the Schuylkill Expressway in Philadelphia.

It happened shortly before 9 p.m. on I-76 westbound between West Exit 341 – Montgomery Dr/West River Dr and West Exit 339 – US 1 South/City Ave.
All westbound lanes were shut down for about 40 minutes.

Multiple police and medic units responded to the scene.
Two people were taken to Hahnemann University Hospital. The conditions of the victims are unknown at this time.
