Driver crashes, car catches on fire in Roxborough

A driver was critically injured after a car crashed and caught fire in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia.The incident happened past 4:00 a.m. Tuesday on Shawmont Avenue near Nixon Street.Police say the driver lost control and struck a utility pole taking down wires.The electrified wires then set the car on fire.The driver suffered third degree burns and smoke inhalation.He was rushed to Temple University in serious condition.
