A woman called her father for help Tuesday morning after she was pinned underneath a car that crashed into her home in Arnold.

A woman called her father for help Tuesday morning after she was pinned underneath a car that crashed into her home in Arnold.

Sherry Ashbaugh, was released from Allegheny General Hospital late Tuesday afternoon.

"She was actually pushed to the back of the residence. She was underneath the vehicle. She was able to get herself out and crawl out of the front porch," said the chief of the Arnold Volunteer Engine Company No. 2.

A gaping hole was left at the front of her house in the 2100 block of Leishman Avenue where the Ford Taurus plowed through the front and nearly came out the other side.

"I heard this car coming. Fifty miles per hour. 'Boom,' right into the house," said a neighbor. The crash was recorded by another neighbor's security camera.

Two children -- ages 3 and 5 -- were also inside at the time but they weren't injured.

A neighbor said he heard the children screaming and ran over to the house to help.

"Got them out of the house, knew they were alive," he said.

The driver of the car was also taken to Allegheny General Hospital in good condition. Arnold police said he is a neighbor in his 60s.

It was not immediately known what caused the crash or if the driver will face charges.
