A 41-year-old man was killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash that caused his car to slam into a Duquesne apartment building.
The Allegheny County medical examiner's office identified the man as Parrish Parker, of Duquesne.
Duquesne police said Mr. Parker was the driver of a vehicle that stopped around 9:30 p.m. for oncoming traffic near the 200 block of North Second Street and Route 837.
The sergeant said a speeding vehicle struck Mr. Parker's vehicle, and the impact was "so severe" it caused Mr. Parker's vehicle to hit a building in the Oliver Plaza Apartments, where he lived.
The sergeant described the building's exterior damage as minor, but wasn't sure about the interior.
It was not immediately clear if anyone else was injured or whether the driver will face charges.
