An Indiana County woman was killed late Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash north of Indiana, Pa.
Mary Jo Scott, 60, of Indiana, was driving south on Route 119 a half-mile south of Chambersville Road in Rayne when she lost control of her Pontiac Sunfire shortly after 11:15 p.m., according to a press release from the Indiana County coroner's office.
Ms. Scott, who was not wearing a seatbelt, crossed the center line into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer, the coroner's office said. She died instantly at the scene.
The tractor-trailer driver, whose name was not released, was not hurt.
Lab tests are pending and alcohol may be a factor in the crash, the coroner's office said.
Pennsylvania State Police in the Indiana barracks also were investigating.
