Eric Shane Mahan, 38, killed, after his vehicle left the Templeton Run Road and crashed into a tree, near East Finley Township in Washington County.

State police are investigating a fatal car crash Wednesday morning in East Finley Township, Washington County. A driver passing by the accident scene in the 500 block of Templeton Run Road reported the crash at about 4:15 a.m. The victim was identified as Eric Shane Mahan, 38, of West Finley. "The victim lost control, traveled approximately 220 feet, crossed the center line, and struck a tree. The vehicle came to rest on its side and the victim was ejected," the coroner wrote in a public information report. The West Finley fire chief said the car's engine was cold and the man inside the vehicle was dead when emergency responders arrived. The chief estimated that the victim may have been there for as long as two hours. No other injuries have been reported from the crash.
