The driver of a Hummer sport-utility vehicle was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre Monday afternoon after the vehicle hit a train at the Bridge Street railroad crossing in Ulster, fire and railroad officials said.
A person driving a Hummer sports-utility vehicle struck the side of a train that was crossing at Bridge Street railroad crossing and was hospitalized. The traffic crossing has flashing lights, but no gate. Traffic was shut down for 20 to 30 minutes, then reopened to one lane to allow some cars to pass. No word on the identity or condition of the driver of the Hummer.
