32-year-old man on motorcycle killed after losing control of vehicle and crashing into speed limit sign near Seaside Lane and Ft. Johnson Road on James Island in Charleston, South Carolina
Motorcyclist dies after Friday evening crash on James Island
After conducting a ‘detailed and extensive accident investigation,’ Charleston Police say investigators determined the man, who was not wearing a helmet, was driving recklessly in the area shortly before the crash.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents and claims.
