More than 20 people hurt in bus crash in Georgetown County

According to Assistant Chief Tony Hucks with the Georgetown County Fire Department, the crash happened just before 7:30. A car hit the bus and the bus turned over onto its side into a ditch.

Coroner identifies 3 people killed in crash involving transit bus, SUV in Georgetown County

Southern said the bus was traveling south on Browns Ferry Road at the time of the crash, while the SUV was headed north.

Cpl. Matt Southern of the South Carolina Highway Patrol says two of the people who died were in the SUV, while one was on the bus.
