Coroner identifies pedestrian killed in deadly interstate crash
According to Ridgeway, a pedestrian was stepping out of a disabled vehicle stopped in the median on I-85 near the 72-mile marker when they were struck by a driver in a 2017 Kia SUV.
The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office has identified the pedestrian as Daniel Logan Shepard, 20, of Chesnee.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, a Kia SUV hit and killed the pedestrian near mile marker 72 NB around 6:20 Saturday morning.
