Police say the preliminary investigation indicates the Honda CR-V was sitting at the traffic light on Hwy 101, at the intersection of Hwy 296, when the Nissan Altima was traveling southbound and struck the Honda from behind. The driver 46-year-old Jonathan Matthew Long of the Nissan was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and died from his injuries.
