Older man hit after attempting to cross street in Walhalla, police say
According to police, when officers arrived, fire personnel were helping the 77-year-old man who had been hit by the truck and was later taken by EMS to the hospital for treatment.

Police learned after speaking with several witnesses that a dark blue or black pickup hit the man as he attempted to cross the street.
The truck turned right on North Catherine Street and left the area without stopping, police said.
