A man from Gaffney, South Carolina is being charged after he crashed while driving drunk with young children in his car in Mayo. The suspected drunk driver, William Henderson, 25, crashed when he turned left in front of an oncoming 18-wheeler along Battleground Road near Mayo. Two of the children in his vehicle were hurt, including one child who sustained serious injuries. Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say that five children were in the car at the time, the oldest of which was 8 years old and the youngest was an infant. Henderson was put into custody and charged with two counts of felony DUI with great bodily injury, one count of child endangerment, driving under a suspended licence, open container, and unlawful communication.
