Actor dies after fall at Clemson Little Theatre
"A terrible, tragic accident claimed the life of one of our actors this week. Carl Gingola loved live theatre. He had performed numerous roles in theatres across the upstate and more than 20 roles in Connecticut. You Can’t Take It With You was his first play at The Clemson Little Theatre.Carl was a resident of Pendleton with his much-loved wife Lori. In concluding his brief biography for the show’s playbill, Carl wrote, “Lori… you make me smile every day. Thank you for putting up with my passion for theatre.”All of us at CLT are still stunned by the news, especially the cast with whom Carl has been working, acting, and bonding for the past 6 weeks. We offer our greatest sympathy and condolences to Lori and to Carl’s entire family. We are all truly sorry that this has happened. We are delaying the opening performance of You Can’t Take It With You until Thursday, September 15, at which time we hope our work will honor the man. Rest in peace, Carl."
