Justin Oliver, 16, killed in car crash at Piedmont Golf Course Road and Old Pelzer Road in Piedmont, South Carolina

Woodmont High School posted to their Facebook page saying, "please pray for the students at Woodmont High School." The Woodmont High School sophomore was killed in a car accident on Friday. Oliver spent two years playing basketball for the SC Raptors Elite and the president Lamont Simmons said Oliver had a promising future. The Piedmont community is mourning after the tragic death of 16-year-old Justin Oliver. The S.C. Highway Patrol has said the crash occurred around 4:50 p.m.

Oliver, 16, died in a car crash on Piedmont Golf Course Road near Old Pelzer Road just before 5 p.m. on Dec. 4. Friends and fellow student athletes took a moment Tuesday night to remember a Woodmont High School student and basketball player who was killed in a Dec. 4 car crash ad another who was still hospitalized in critical condition. A moment of silence was held before Tuesday night’s basketball game between Woodmont and Mauldin to remember Justin Oliver. The driver, Julius Jones, was airlifted to the hospital and remains in critical condition, according to Woodmont’s basketball coach Tim Morris.
