William Vansteenburg, 69, killed in moped crash with truck on Sea Mountain Highway in Horry County, SC
Update: Mo-ped driver killed in car crash on Sea Mountain Highway identified
William Vansteenburg, 69, of Little River, was killed when a moped collided with a pickup truck in Horry County Thursday afternoon, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden.
The collision occurred around 4 p.m. on Sea Mountain Highway. The driver of the moped was heading west on Sea Mountain Highway when he collided with a 2007 GMC pickup that pulled out in front of the moped. The driver of the truck was charged with failure to yield to right of way to the moped. The driver of the moped was not wearing a helmet.
