Body found in car that drove into Waccamaw River off Lee's Landing
The car was found at about 10:15 a.m. with a body inside, according to Mark Bonner with Horry County Police. Divers and boats were searching the water off Lee’s Landing on River Road Tuesday morning, according to Lt. Brian Van Aernem with HCFR. The department received a call about the car in the water Monday night, but did not search with divers at that time for safety reasons.

Horry County officials are continuing to investigate the incident, and the reason Anderson drove into the frigid Waccamaw remains unknown.
