The 8:34 p.m. crash happened about three miles west of Darlington when a 2016 Ford pickup that was south-bound on the road ran off the right side of the road, struck a mailbox, then ran off the left side of the road and overturned, said Master Trooper Brandon Bolt, South Carolina Highway Patrol.

A pickup truck driver was killed Thursday night in a single-vehicle crash on North Center Road in Darlington County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

A 2006 Ford pickup was traveling south and went off the right side of the road. The truck then hit a mailbox, went off the left side of the road and overturned, according to Master Trooper Brandon Bolt.
