Loris man dead after car crash on S.C. 9 Monday night
Dew was driving west from Highway 747 in a 2011 Ford pickup when he pulled out onto S.C. 9 and was struck on the left side by the 41-year-old driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, officials said.
The fatal collision occurred on the SC Bypass outside Loris at approximately 5:15 Monday afternoon. Authorities say the driver of a Ford Pickup entered Highway 9 from Highway 747, and was struck by a Chevy Tahoe. The driver of the Ford was transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, where they died. First responders transported the driver of the Chevy to the hospital with serious injuries.
