Emily, 16, died in a car crash Tuesday night on Lady’s Island where she lived. She was killed when the 2005 Honda Civic she was driving ran off the side of the road and struck a tree on Brickyard Point Road near Springfield Road just after 7 p.m., according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
