Troopers: Driver killed after hitting tree in Beaufort County
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, it happened around 10:40 p.m. on Highway 21, about 10 miles south of Beaufort. The driver of a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis drove off the left side of the road, striking a tree.
