The chase ended when Pollard lost control of his car, trapping himself inside. Deputies were arresting Marvis DeShun Pollard after conducting an undercover drug operation related to the purchase of methamphetamine. Pollard is charged with driving on a suspended license, reckless driving, evading arrest, aggravated assault, and possession of drugs. As deputies tried getting Pollard in custody, he is said to have rammed two Tipton County Sheriff's Office vehicles and took off toward Shelby County.
