One lane of eastbound Interstate 40 in Haywood County, Tenn. is open after a deadly crash, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The accident involving three semi trucks happened around 10 p.m. on Tuesday. One person was killed in the crash on I-40, just west of the Highway 76 – Brownsville exit.

The eastbound lanes of the interstate were shut down until around 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning. THP opened up one lane around 6 a.m.

THP is still diverting traffic to exit 56, but drivers should also expect some delays in this area.
