According to the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was traveling non-emergency on Highway 51 near the airport, when a semi truck pulled out in front of him. Despite efforts to avoid a crash, the Sheriff’s Office says the vehicle struck the deputy’s patrol unit.
