Caleb Roath, 19, dies after collision with tractor trailer on U.S. 43 North in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee

Tennessee teen critical after Monday wreck

Initial reports indicate that the car driven by Roath was traveling north on U.S. 43, when it lost control due to the heavy rain and weather conditions, causing the vehicle to enter the southbound lanes of travel.

Lawrenceburg teen dies 11 days after crashing Ford Mustang

Roath was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died Wednesday morning. The truck driver wasn’t injured. The Lawrenceburg Police Department’s Critical Accident Response Team (C.A.R.T.) was called to investigate the crash. Investigators determined heavy rain and bad weather caused Roath’s car to hydroplane.
