The victim of a fatal crash between a pickup and cement truck Monday afternoon has been identified as a Sullivan County man.
The victim of a fatal crash between a pickup and cement truck Monday afternoon has been identified as a Sullivan County man.
Jerry L. Dugger, 49, 160 Carr Hollow Road, Bluff City, died when a cement truck crashed into his pickup after Dugger pulled his 2009 Nissan Frontier out in front of it, according to a press release issued by Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal.
It happened on Highway 75 at the intersection of Sam Jenkins Road at 4:49 p.m. According to Graybeal, Dugger turned left off of Sam Jenkins Road onto Highway 75 into the path of a cement truck headed south on the two-lane highway. The cement truck hit the driver's door of the Nissan, Graybeal said.
