Mid-Air Plane Collision Kills At Least One Near McKinney

At least one person is dead following a mid-ar collision near a small airport in McKinney, according to a Federal aviation spokesperson.

At least three dead after two small aircraft collide mid-flight near McKinney

One plane crashed at a storage facility at Custer Road and Virginia Parkway. The other crashed in the middle of Custer Road near Bedford Lane.

The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that two small planes collided near Aero Country Airport shortly after 5:30 p.m.

According to NBC DFW, two of the victims have been identified as Gregory Barber and Tim Barber.

The third victim hasn’t been identified.

Family friends confirmed to News 8 that the pilot of the other aircraft was Robert Navar, 48, of Frisco.
