Texas Department of Public Safety investigators said Turner tried to make a left turn from the right lane and cut in front of a semitrailer traveling in the left lane. The two vehicles collided.

Willis, executive director of the Charlotte-based nonprofit I Dream in Colors, was killed Tuesday in Hudspeth County, Texas, during a cross-country bike tour to raise money for the mentoring program.
