Teenager dead, one other injured in carnival ride accident at St. Thomas Aquinas Church
Spokeswoman for the El Paso Catholic Diocese Elizabeth O'Hara said the teenager who died was ejected and hit a metal barricade.
The church was having its Dia De Los Niños Fiesta on Friday night.

Officers said both victims were taken to a nearby hospitals where one of the teens later died.

El Paso police on Monday identified the 16-year-old girl as Samantha Aguilar. Police say Aguilar and two 17-year-old girls were at a parking lot carnival at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church when they were hurled from a ride called "Sizzler" Friday evening.
