DPS identifies 21 year old killed in crash
Officials have identified a 21-year-old who died Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle accident in Polk County.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to the crash on US 59 at State Loop 116.
A preliminary investigation reveals at about 8:45 a.m., a semi was pulling onto State Loop 116 from northbound US 59 when another vehicle hit the rear tires of the trailer before it cleared US 59.
Marley Chapla of The Woodlands was killed. Chapla was pronounced dead at the scene by Polk County Justice of the Peace Sarah Arnett.
