A KHOU reporter who is on scene reported that two people got out of their car to get a stray dog off the road, after which they were hit.
2 women fatally hit by car while trying to help dog in roadway in Dickinson
The incident happened around 8 p.m. at Houston Avenue, when the women were trying to round up a dog to keep it from being hit by a vehicle.
