Man struck while trying to flag down help after crash(link is external)

A man who was trying to flag down help after a minor accident was killed when he was struck by a passing car early Saturday morning.

Erick Chavez, a passenger in a minor car accident involving two vehicles, in the 9700 block of Sheldon Rd near U.S. Highway 90, north of Channelview, was killed after being struck by a Chevrolet Silverado.  Chavez exited the vehicle to move it out of the ditch and was hit.  He was pronounced dead by paramedics.  The case remains open and under investigation.

361 days dawg its almost been a year i still remember the last time i seen you our last words im sorry you had to leave us earlier. You in a better place now i love you dawg 10-11-14 gone but never forgotten
