One person killed in motorcycle crash on the Gulf Freeway in Houston, Texas
Motorcyclist fatally crashes into pickup truck in SE Houston
Houston police said rain played a factor in a deadly motorcycle crash in southeast Houston.
A motorcyclist died after crashing into the rear of a pickup truck around 3:15 a.m. Saturday on the Gulf Freeway at Tallyho Road. A Cadillac and a another pickup truck then hit the motorcycle, wedging it underneath the truck. No one else was injured in the crash.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents and claims.
