Investigation into Fatal Crash at 8000 Fondren(link is external)
Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8000 Fondren about 2:20 a.m. on May 24. The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The male driver, 26, of a blue Toyota Corolla was traveling north on Fondren at about 2:20 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle near Beechnut Street, went up on a grass median and struck two trees. The driver and a backseat male passenger were ejected from the Toyota. The passenger was later pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital. The driver and two other passengers, a male and a female, were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries.
