HOUSTON - One person is dead and two others are in the hospital following a crash that left a car split in two. The driver lost control for unknown reasons and slammed into a tree in the middle median. The impact was so intense that it split the car into two pieces. Thursday, a car with three people inside was driving very fast, going westbound on Bissonnet. The driver and rear passenger were transported to Ben Taub Hospital in serious but stable condition.
