1 brother dead, another injured in SW Houston crash

An early-morning car crash in southwest Houston cost a man his life and left his brother in the hospital, officials said. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m., according to the Houston Police Department. The two brothers were driving on Main near near Summit Ridge when the driver, who was 21, lost control of his car, a gray four-door Infiniti, and slammed into a sign on the side of the road. He died in the crash. The passenger, his 22-year-old brother, was hospitalized.
