Charges filed against man shot by HPD after stolen truck crash
The shooting occurred as police were investigating a report of a stolen brown GMC pickup. HPD Sergeant D. Vega followed the suspect, who eventually abandoned the pickup and got into another vehicle driven by a second suspect.
Sergeant Vega followed both suspects until they reached the intersection of 5700 Corl and Joyner. As the suspects attempted to turn westbound onto Joyner, they crashed crashed.
