30-year-old male dies, 26-year-old female injured in two-vehicle crash on East Loop in Houston, Texas
1 dead after East Loop wreck Saturday afternoon
Around 4 p.m., the driver of a Mitsubishi headed eastbound on Market ran a red light by East Loop and was hit on the passenger side by an 18-wheeler headed southbound on the service road.
The 30-year-old male passenger was killed in the crash and the 26-year-old female driver was taken to the hospital in unknown condition, according to Houston police spokesman Victor Senties.

The driver of a gray Mitsubushi Galant was traveling eastbound on Market Street, ran the red light at the intersection of the East Loop, and was struck on the passenger side by a tractor-trailer truck traveling southbound on the East Loop service road.
