Pedestrian struck and killed by a tractor-trailer on East Interstate Highway 10 in Houston, Texas

The male, a pedestrian, was crossing the westbound main lanes of the East Freeway near the above address when he was struck by a tractor-trailer truck traveling westbound on the freeway.  Due to heavy traffic, the 18-wheeler stopped on the right shoulder near the McCarty Street exit and called 9-1-1.
