Elderly man struck, killed while walking along a Rockport road
Police say the accident happened Monday around 7:30 pm along the Highway 35 bypass between the Market Street and Pearl Street exits. The victim was in dark clothing on the shoulder pushing a shopping cart full of aluminum cans when he was hit. The driver says he did not see the man until it was too late.
