Friends, coworkers remember women killed in Lamb County crash

Tuesday at Littlefield Memorial Park. “Saunya brought sunshine everywhere she went,” said Dixie Carter, a LVN at Lamb Healthcare Center. Saunya worked at Lamb Healthcare Center for about four years. It happened around nine Friday night about 14 miles North of Littlefield on US 385 in Lamb County. A Texas Tech graduate died from her injuries following a fatal head on collision Friday night in Lamb County. As an ER nurse at Lamb Healthcare System, Saunya made patients and coworkers smile in dire situations. “She was very sweet to her patients, and also to her coworkers,” said Karen Gore, a nurse at the center.

UPDATE: Second driver dies after head-on collision near Littlefield

Officials said Saunya Marie Collins, 42, of Amherst, died at the scene. Abigail Celeste Arroyos, 22, of Hereford, was was taken by AeroCare to Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, where hospital officials say she later died.
