Odessa couple critically injured in hit-and-run

Odessa police say 42-year-old Todd Ploen was pushing his 31-year-old girlfriend in her wheelchair on Saturday night when they were hit. The woman's name has not been released. Both are in critical condition at Medical Center Hospital.

Police seek help identifying driver in hit-and-run accident

Investigators on Sunday had no further description of he vehicle and asked anyone with information to call the department at 432-333-3641.

The couple was returning from grocery shopping when they were hit. Police say the black car had square tail lights and hit the couple around 11 p.m.
